These are the details of the warranty which is supplied to the original purchaser from the date of installation by an authorised Betta Blinds installer.
The benefits to you given by this warranty are in addition to other rights and remedies you have under law. Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and for compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
We will either repair our goods, or replace our goods with new goods, at our option if the goods have a defect in the materials or workmanship, or the goods fail to operate as intended; and you make a claim under this warranty as provided below, within the time periods set out below.
If a defect appears in the goods within the period specified below, to make a claim under this warranty you must, before the warranty period expires, and at your cost:
Submit details of your claim to Betta Blinds including your name, address, phone number, tax invoice number and date of purchase. You must also provide us with all other information we reasonably request about the circumstances in which you consider the defect was caused (including sending us the goods you allege are defective if requested to do so).
This warranty applies to defects in materials or workmanship but excludes damage caused by normal fair wear and tear; abuse, misuse, neglect or accident; exposure to the elements (eg sun damage or discolouration over time); exposure to high humidity (resulting in mould & mildew or warping) eg kitchens, bathrooms and natural variations in grain, colour and texture for timber products; damage from extreme weather events or other acts of God; or modifications made by any other person other than an Betta Blinds authorised representative. The product must have been maintained in a sanitary condition. Improper handling or maintenance will void this warranty.
External products such as roller shutters require regular maintenance and must be maintained by regularly washing and ensuring that incompatible materials or high amounts of pollution do not come into contact with the roller shutter surface. Weathering of the coating will occur with a reduction of gloss and a gradual uniform colour change, but there will be no loss of integrity of either the metal substrate or the coatings. More rapid deterioration of the coating may occur in abnormally corrosive locations, such as areas exposed to sandstorms, caustic or acidic rains, and areas with close proximity to the ocean front and the warranty won’t be extended to roller shutters used in these conditions .
*On site inspection, removal and re-installation costs in relation to any claim made under warranty are the responsibility of the purchaser once 1 year has passed after installation. These costs can be avoided if within the warranty period the alleged defective goods are returned/collected by the original purchaser to 39 Byre Ave, Somerton Park SA 5044.
